Elevate Your Canvas Prints: My favourite frames for a stunning display

As an artist, I pour my heart and soul into each piece I create. When it comes to showcasing my art, the right frame is the icing on the cake! With the launch of my new canvas print collection, I’ve been exploring a variety of frames that complement and enhance these prints. Here are my top picks for frames that add that perfect finishing touch.

Classic Wood Frames

There’s something timeless about a classic wood frame. I absolutely love these white oak frames by Opposite Wall. They’re versatile, real wood frames and work well with traditional, farmhouse and modern home decors. These frames are available in other finishes as well and in a variety of sizes. I like adding a white or coloured mat to complete these frames. Matting not only increases the size of the finished piece but it also provides a clean border that allows the artwork to shine.

White matting is available in a variety of sizes at Michaels, on Amazon or can be custom made at local frame stores.

Sleek Metal Frames

For a contemporary and minimalist look, metal frames are an excellent choice. Aluminum frames, in particular, offer a sleek and polished finish that draws attention to the artwork without overshadowing it. These Foundry Gallery Wall frames are perfect for modern or contemporary home decors. They include an oversized white mat for a high-end look. These frames are available in several sizes but I like the 18x18” that are matted down to 8x8". And they’re available in both brass and black aluminum.

As another option, the Forea frame is available at a better price point and smaller size. This is a great alternative to the Foundry frame!

Ornate Frames

If you want to add a touch of elegance and grandeur, classic ornate frames are the way to go. These frames have more intricate designs that add a layer of richness and luxury to the artwork. I like using these frames when framing still-life artwork, like the hydrangea prints. Michaels stores have very affordable options when it comes to ornate frames and they’re often on sale when combined with coupon codes.
